The Javanese had always acknowledged the unity of God to become the core of the teachings of the Kejawen, that is to direct the human beings: Sangkan Paraning Dumadhi (lit. "Where did the return of the servant of the Lord come from?") And to form the soul as a word with his god: Manunggaling Kawula lan Gusthi (lit. "The merging of the Servant and the Lord"). From that unity, Kejawen teachings have the following mission:
Mamayu Hayuning Pribadhi (as a blessing for oneself)
Mamayu Hayuning Kaluwarga (as a blessing for the family)
Mamayu Hayuning Sasama (as a blessing for fellow human beings)
Mamayu Hayuning Bhuwana (as a mercy to the universe)
in contrast to the abangan the kejawen are relatively obedient to their religion, by abstaining from their religious prohibitions and carrying out their religious orders while maintaining their identity as indigenous people, since the teachings of Javanese philosophy indeed encourage obedience to their god. So it is not surprising that there are many schools of philosophy of kejawen according to their religion, such as: Islam Kejawen, Hindu Kejawen, Kristen Kejawen, Kejawen Kejawen, Kejawen Kapitayan (Belief) while still carrying out their custom and culture which is not contrary to their religion.
